A Madrid portfolio of 1873 reproducing, by photolithography, title pages and woodcuts from early Spanish printed books for bibliographers, collectors and printers. The plates give Habsburg coats of arms with crowned double-headed eagles, architectural title-page borders of columns and grotesque friezes, narrative four-panel scenes of courts and workshops, and blackletter headlines \u2014 usable as frame components, cartouche shapes and coarse-line woodcut textures.
