Epigrammata antiqvae vrbis ..
A printed corpus of ancient Roman inscriptions gathered by the bookseller-printer Jacopo Mazzocchi with Angelo Colocci and issued in Rome in 1521 for humanist antiquarians and students of Latin epigraphy. The plates set transcribed inscriptions in Roman capitals inside ruled panels edged with woodcut borders of white scrollwork on cross-hatched grounds, rosettes, and winged cherub heads, giving designers modular border strips, corner pieces, and epigraphic lettering models.
