An Italian-language alchemical commentary by the Venetian Giovan Battista Agnello, printed in London by John Kingston in 1566 for readers of the secret art. The plates are woodcut initial capitals, chiefly the letter H, set as white forms against stippled black grounds with acanthus scrolls, fruit swags and a foliate lion mask, useful as drop-cap models and small ornamental frames.
