Estimates, costs & profits, exterior painting and interior decorating
A 1916 trade manual by Fred N. Vanderwalker, issued by the Text Book Co. of Chicago, teaching house painters and decorators how to measure surfaces, estimate costs and set prices. The plates are blueprint-style line drawings of a small bungalow dash side and rear elevations, a dimensioned floor plan, a built-in buffet dash annotated with measurements and area formulas, useful for hand-lettered dimension lines, hatched wall poch\u00e9 and technical-drawing borders.
