Edmond Bonnaffé's collected essays on art and collecting, issued in Paris by the Société française d'éditions d'art in 1902 for connoisseurs and collectors. The plates here are black-line printer's ornament: horizontal headbands and a centred tailpiece of scrolling acanthus, urns, birds and flat floral rosettes, ruled into rectangular frames — usable as rules, chapter dividers and corner fills.
