Etude sur les émaux anciens
A study of historic enamelwork by Ris-Paquot, published in Paris by R. Simon in 1881 for collectors, dealers and decorative artists. Colour plates reproduce champlevé and painted enamel objects: gilt reliquary caskets with dove and scroll medallions, a haloed female figure on patterned gold ground, and an oval portrait miniature, useful for metallic ornament, roundel framing and muted jewel palettes.
