Exhibition of "fakes" and reproductions
An exhibition catalogue by Edwin Atlee Barber for the Pennsylvania Museum, Philadelphia, 1916, showing forgeries and reproductions of decorative art objects for museum visitors, collectors and dealers. Halftone photographs record stoneware steins with relief figures and coats of arms, enamelled and trailed glass vessels, pewter flagons with hinged lids, and transfer-printed jugs bearing portraits and battle scenes, useful as silhouettes, relief ornament and period vessel profiles.
