Exhibition of Oriental and American art, under the joint auspices of the Alumni memorial committee and the Ann Arbor art association on the occasion of the opening of the Alumni memorial hall, University of Michigan, May 11 to 30, 1910
Catalogue for a loan exhibition of Asian and American art held at Alumni Memorial Hall, University of Michigan, in May 1910, compiled by the Ann Arbor Art Association with Theodore Wesley Koch for local visitors and university alumni. Halftone plates reproduce Japanese and Chinese hanging scrolls and screens — flowering branches, pines, waterfalls, dragons in cloud and smoke — with soft tonal grounds useful as textured backdrops and asymmetric botanical motifs.
