Explorations épigraphiques et archéologiques en Tunisie
René Cagnat's field report on Latin inscriptions and ruins in Tunisia, printed by the Imprimerie nationale in Paris in 1883 for classicists and epigraphers. The plates are fine-lined survey maps of central Tunisian terrain, combining hachured hill masses, dotted tracks and wadi lines, and dense small-type toponyms in both Roman and Arabic forms, with north arrows and ratio scale bars usable as map textures, lettering models, and cartographic ornament.
