Fac-similé de livres copiés et enluminés pour le roi Charles V. : souvenir de la journée du 8 mars 1903
A facsimile album of manuscripts copied and illuminated for Charles V of France, compiled by the palaeographer Léopold Delisle and printed at Nogent-le-Rotrou in 1903 to mark a commemorative gathering of scholars and collectors. The 36 plates reproduce fourteenth-century French pages in photographic grey: gothic text columns, foliate initials, ivy-vine margins, ownership signatures and scribal flourishes usable as lettering and border models.
