The factory girl
A short-lived 1842 periodical printed at New-Market, New Hampshire, by Charles C. Dearborn, carrying verse, essays, and notices written by and for young women working in New England textile mills. The illustrations are small wood-engraved column headings: a seated woman reading in a garden with urn and blank scroll under "POETRY," and a ring of clasped rings over a laurel swag under "MARRIAGE," useful as section dividers, ornamental rules, and label cartouches.
