Faems Weer-galm der Neder-duytsche poësie
A Dutch-language volume of emblem verse by the Antwerp-area poet and notary Cornelis de Bie, printed at Mechelen by Jan Jaye in 1670 with engraved plates by Jacobus Neeffs and Jacques de Hornes, aimed at readers of vernacular devotional and moral poetry. The images indexed here are letterpress ornaments: symmetrical fleuron clusters built from cast scrolls, dots, lozenges and crescents, usable as tailpieces, dividers, borders or as parts for rebuilding modular ornament in vector form.
