Famous problems of elementary geometry: the duplication of the cube; the trisection of an angle; the quadrature of the circle; an authorized translation of F. Klein's Vorträge über ausgewählte fragen der elementargeometrie, ausgearbeitet von F. Tägert
Felix Klein's 1895 Göttingen lectures on the three classical construction problems, translated by Wooster Beman and David Eugene Smith and published by Ginn in Boston and London in 1897 for students and teachers of mathematics. The figures are spare line diagrams: circles crossed by chords and tangents, parallel baselines, parabolas and labelled points with italic algebraic notation, usable as geometric linework or endpaper pattern.
