Führer durch den symbolischen und typologischen Bilderkreis der christlichen Kunst des Mittelalters
A German reference handbook to the symbolic and typological imagery of medieval Christian art, compiled by Wilhelm Molsdorf and published by K. W. Hiersemann in Leipzig in 1920 for art historians and iconographers. The plates are halftone reproductions of illuminated manuscript pages, painted panels and carved reliefs, arranged in gridded compartments with roundels, arcades and inscription bands — useful for medieval figure poses, typological pairings and framing systems.
