Führer durch den symbolischen und typologischen Bilderkreis der christlichen Kunst des Mittelalters
A German handbook to the symbolic and typological imagery of medieval Christian art, compiled by Wilhelm Molsdorf and published by K.W. Hiersemann in Leipzig in 1920 for art historians, iconographers and museum staff. The plates reproduce carved ivories and metalwork reliefs, incised grave slabs, engraved roundels and illuminated evangelist pages in dense line and halftone, offering compartmented panel grids, Trinity and Crucifixion groups, wheel and cross emblems, and inscription-bearing borders.
