Firenze antica, e moderna illustrata
A multi-volume illustrated description of Florence's buildings and history, compiled by Vincenzio Follini and Modesto Rastrelli and issued in Florence from 1789 for antiquarians, local readers and travellers. The plates are small copperplate engravings: flat elevations of palace facades with rusticated bases and pedimented windows, plus church altars and tabernacles in scrolled Baroque frames, offering usable architectural line work, window and cornice details, and an engraved armorial bookplate.
