The flag of Canada.
A short 1912 government pamphlet by Joseph Pope, Canada's under-secretary of state, arguing which British ensign Canada should fly, printed in Ottawa for officials and the public. Twelve colour plates show the Red and Blue Ensigns, Union Jack, and shield badges as flat rectangles plus one woodcut-style flag on a staff, useful for flag geometry, cropped diagonal stripes, and red-white-blue palettes.
