Flag of the minute men, April 19, 1775, its origin and history ..
A local-history pamphlet on the Bedford minute men's flag, written by Abram English Brown and issued in 1894 by the Bedford Historical Society in Boston for town antiquarians and patriotic commemorations. The plates use a line-engraved unrolled scroll as a frame, its curled ends and shadows built from fine hatching, enclosing town-by-town name lists in roman and blackletter type, with a small-scale floral endpaper pattern printed in olive on cream.
