Émile Gebhart's Florence, published in Paris by H. Laurens in 1907 for the Villes d'art célèbres series, surveys the city's art and monuments for travellers and students. The 163 halftone plates reproduce frescoes, carved marble tabernacles and bronze relief panels, offering crowded processional compositions, Gothic architectural frames, and drapery studies that can be traced, cropped, or used as pattern and border sources.
