Floriated ornament: a series of thirty-one designs
A pattern book of thirty-one ornament plates by A. W. N. Pugin, published by H. G. Bohn in London in 1849 for architects, decorators and church furnishers working in the Gothic Revival manner. Chromolithographed flowers, leaves and berries are flattened into symmetrical crosses, sprigs and corner motifs printed in red, blue, green and gold on cream, supplying repeat units, tile fills and border elements that separate cleanly from their backgrounds.
