John Ruskin's serial letters on labour, economy and art, written for British workmen and labourers and reissued in New York by Bryan, Taylor in 1894. Illustrations are small line blocks: Cretan coins with labyrinth and fleur-de-lis devices rendered in dense engraved hatching, plus sparse outline drawings of kneeling figures and angels over walled towns.
