Free-hand drawing, light and shade and free-hand perspective : for the use of art students and teachers
A drawing manual by Anson K. Cross, published by the author in Boston in 1904 for art students and teachers working on freehand perspective, light and shade. The plates are numbered line diagrams in pen: converging construction lines with lettered vanishing points, horizon lines labelled "Level of Eye," nested ellipses building cylinders and vases, and small hatched shadow studies usable as linework or diagram texture.
