French architects and sculptors of the XVIIIth century
A survey of eighteenth-century French architecture and sculpture written by Emilia Dilke and published by G. Bell and Sons in London in 1900 for art historians and collectors. Halftone photographs show marble nudes, portrait busts, street fountains and allegorical reliefs against dark studio grounds, giving designers crisp silhouettes, drapery folds and putti groups to cut out or trace.
