French furniture under Louis XV
A survey of eighteenth-century French furniture by Roger de Félice, published in English translation in New York by Frederick A. Stokes in 1920 for collectors and decorators. Halftone photographs isolate single chairs, tables and cabinets against blank grounds, recording cabriole legs, carved frames and damask and needlework upholstery patterns usable as repeat motifs or silhouette cutouts.
