An important collection of paintings and bronzes by modern masters of American and European art, Dec. 4-30, 1922 [electronic resource]
A dealer's exhibition catalogue issued by C.W. Kraushaar Art Galleries in New York for a December 1922 show of paintings and bronzes by American and European artists, printed for collectors and visitors to the gallery. The plates are soft-focus halftone reproductions of oil paintings figure groups around a bed, a rocky shore under a heavy sky, dense stands of trees with broad tonal masses and little line, useful for grainy grey backgrounds, landscape silhouettes, and period gallery layout.
