A dealer's exhibition catalogue issued by R. Ederheimer's Print Cabinet in New York in 1909, listing engravings by Marcantonio Raimondi and his pupils and followers for collectors and print buyers. The plates reproduce sixteenth-century Italian line engravings after Raphael and others: muscular nudes in landscape, crowded figure groups on architectural steps, and heaven-and-earth compositions, all built from close parallel hatching that designers can lift as ready-made tonal texture and classical figure stock.
