From wool to cloth
A 1904 promotional booklet on woolen and worsted manufacture issued for the American Woolen Company and printed by Livermore & Knight of Providence, Rhode Island, tracing cloth-making from raw wool for trade and customer readers. The plates here are symmetrical Art Nouveau headpieces and tailpieces printed in olive green on tan stock, with scrolling foliate terminals, strapwork knots and small dotted shading, usable as chapter dividers, cartouche frames and border units.
