Furniture of the olden time
Frances Clary Morse's survey of American and English household furniture, published by Macmillan in New York in 1902 for collectors and antiquarians. Halftone photographs isolate single pieces against plain grounds — chairs, chests, clocks, tables — giving clear silhouettes of pierced splats, cabriole legs, ball-and-claw feet and carved shell crests usable as cut-out shapes or period reference.
