Furniture of the Pilgrim century, 1620-1720, including colonial utensils and hardware
Wallace Nutting's 1910 photographic survey of early American furniture, utensils and hardware from 1620–1720, published in Framingham and Boston for collectors, dealers and antiquarians. Nearly 700 halftone plates show single pieces against blank grounds, lit to read as silhouette: turned legs, stretchers, scalloped aprons and hinges, useful as furniture profiles, spindle vocabulary and cut-out shapes.
