Galleria Lochis : Scuola Bergamasca ..
An 1860 catalogue of the Lochis collection's Bergamasque school paintings, issued at Bergamo for the Accademia Carrara and its readers among collectors and art scholars. The plates reproduced here are letterpress ornaments rather than pictures of paintings: bilaterally symmetrical scroll bands, fleuron centrepieces and arrowhead tailpieces in fine black line, usable as dividers, frame corners or repeating border units.
