The games & diversions of Argyleshire
A folklore survey of children's games, rhymes, and pastimes collected in Argyllshire, Scotland, published in London for the Folk-Lore Society by David Nutt in 1901 for antiquarians and folklorists. The plates are short engraved music examples for singing games, each pairing a staff line of melody with a row of tonic sol-fa letter notation beneath, useful as typographic texture, notation ornament, or period music-printing detail.
