The gardener's magazine and register of rural & domestic improvement
A monthly British horticultural periodical founded and edited by J. C. Loudon, printed in London from 1826 for gardeners, nurserymen and estate owners. The wood engravings are small working diagrams set into the text: labelled pruning cuts and grafted branches, sectional views of hotbeds, walls and drains, and plans of glasshouses and garden ranges, with keys in italic letters and numerals.
