The gardener's magazine and register of rural & domestic improvement
A monthly horticultural periodical edited by John Claudius Loudon and issued in London by Longman from 1826, written for gardeners, nurserymen and improving landowners. The wood engravings are mostly overhead plans of flower borders, shrubberies and pleasure grounds, with amoeba-shaped beds, stippled and hatched ground tones, numbered planting keys and ruled scale bars in feet and poles.
