The gardener's magazine and register of rural & domestic improvement
A monthly periodical edited by John Claudius Loudon and published in London from 1826 for gardeners, nurserymen and estate owners, covering horticulture, garden structures and domestic economy. The wood-engraved figures are numbered technical diagrams: hatched cross-sections of hothouse walls, flues, boilers and glazing bars, with scale bars and letter keys, useful as small mechanical line motifs and sectional hatching patterns.
