A monthly periodical on gardening, horticulture and landscape improvement edited by John Claudius Loudon and issued in London from 1826 for landowners, nurserymen and practical gardeners. Wood-engraved figures run to estate and pleasure-ground plans with stippled tree masses, winding walks and water, plus rockwork, plant studies and tool and glasshouse diagrams usable as maps, textures and technical line motifs.
