A 1918 London garden book by the painter Jessie Macgregor, published by Hutchinson for readers interested in the grounds attached to houses of famous residents in and around the capital. The plates are loose watercolours reproduced in colour: lawns and gravel paths running toward brick houses, flowering fruit trees, thatched cottages, herbaceous borders and small figures in sun hats, useful for soft foliage texture, muted green and terracotta palettes, and vignette landscape shapes.
