Gazette des beaux-arts
Gazette des beaux-arts was a French art review published in Paris from 1859 for collectors, critics and connoisseurs of painting, prints and antiquities. The sampled pages are decorated initial capitals cut in line, each letter set in a square of thin whiplash tendrils and solid black leaf forms on cream paper, usable as drop caps, monograms or ornament stock.
