Gearing

Stutz, Charles C. [from old catalog] · 1889 · Providence, R.I. · 10 pictures

A short technical treatise on gear design published by Charles C. Stutz in Providence, Rhode Island, in 1889 for machinists, draughtsmen and mechanical engineers. The plates are reproduced as blueprints, white line on deep blue: hatched sections through tooth blanks and hubs, involute and cycloidal tooth profiles laid out with arcs and tangents, angle letters and dimension arrows, all usable as ready-made line diagrams, negative-value engineering texture, or geometric motifs.
