The genealogist
A volume of The Genealogist, the antiquarian periodical edited by George W. Marshall and published in London in 1878 for genealogists, heraldic scholars and county historians. Pages are dominated by bracketed pedigree tables set in dense small type, interleaved with engraved headpieces, foliate initials and coats of arms that supply rule-work, bracket structures and heraldic motifs for reuse.
