The genealogist
A British genealogical and heraldic journal edited by George W. Marshall, issued in London by Golding and Lawrence with George Bell & Sons from 1877 for antiquaries and family historians. Line engravings and woodcut facsimiles show helmed achievements with mantling, motto scrolls, ledger-stone brasses in blackletter, pedigree charts and ornamented cartouches — usable as heraldic ornament, ribbon banners and lettering models.
