The genealogist
A volume of The Genealogist, the antiquarian journal edited by George W. Marshall and published in London by Golding and Lawrence and George Bell & Sons in 1880 for genealogists, heralds and family historians. The plates are letterpress pedigree charts: columns of small-type names, dates and marriages joined by long bracket rules and vertical descent lines, useful as ready-made diagram structures, rule work and dense text texture.
