The genealogist
A volume of The Genealogist, the British genealogical and heraldic journal edited by George W. Marshall and published in London in 1877 for antiquaries, heralds and family historians. Its plates are chiefly letterpress pedigree charts — names and dates linked by ruled brackets and vertical drops — alongside engraved bookplate cartouches with rococo shellwork and blank name panels, useful as diagram structures, rule-and-bracket frameworks and ready-made ornamental labels.
