The genealogist
A British genealogical and heraldic journal, edited by Walford Dakin Selby with H. W. Forsyth Harwood and Keith W. Murray, issued in London by George Bell & Sons from 1884 for antiquaries tracing family descents. The plates are line-drawn shields set into the text columns: chevrons, bends, six-pointed stars, heraldic roses, cross crosslets and roundels in flat black on white, usable as compact emblems or spot marks.
