The genealogist
A British genealogical and heraldic journal issued in London by George Bell & Sons from 1884, edited by Walford Dakin Selby and later H. W. Forsyth Harwood and Keith W. Murray for antiquaries tracing family descents. The plates are line-drawn coat-of-arms shields with beasts, crosses, bends and ermine fields, printed in flat black and white — ready-made stock for monograms, crests, borders and badge motifs.
