The general armory of England, Scotland, Ireland, and Wales; comprising a registry of armorial bearings from the earliest to the present time
Sir Bernard Burke's General Armory (Harrison & Sons, London, 1884) is a heraldic reference registering armorial bearings of families across England, Scotland, Ireland and Wales, compiled for genealogists, officers of arms and antiquarians. The engravings show orders of knighthood — collars, breast stars, enamelled crosses and crowned badges — in fine black line on white, useful as ready-made medallions, rosettes, chain links and circular motto frames.
