Georgiae Montaneae, nobilis Gallae, Emblematum christianorum centuria : cum eorundem latina interpretatione = Cent emblemes chrestiens
A Protestant emblem book by Georgette de Montenay, engraved by Pierre Woeiriot and printed at Zurich in 1584, pairing a hundred Latin and French mottoes with plates for devout readers. Small square copperplates show figures in sixteenth-century dress striking trees, wrestling satyrs, or facing winds and the Hebrew Tetragrammaton, with scroll-cartouche mottoes, hatched clouds and walled-town backgrounds usable as vignettes.
