Ferdinand Rosenberger's three-volume history of physics, published by Vieweg in Braunschweig from 1882, written for students and teachers of science and paired with synchronistic tables of mathematics, chemistry and general history. The figures are fine outline engravings of historic laboratory apparatus—electrostatic globes on frames, suspended chains, funnels and coiled tubes on tripod stands, a cylinder mounted on a rail bed—drawn in thin unshaded line with lettered part labels, useful as diagram line stock.
