A survey history of German decorative arts by Jacob von Falke, published in Berlin by G. Grote in 1888 for collectors, museum staff and craft students. Wood-engraved plates record metalwork, ceramics, furniture and carved ornament in fine line and stipple, supplying circular boss layouts, panelled cabinet fronts, guilloche borders and foliate friezes inhabited by beasts.
