Geschichte des Kostüms
Adolf Rosenberg's Geschichte des Kostüms, a multi-volume survey of historical dress issued by Weyhe in New York in 1905 and continued after his death by Eduard Heyck, made for artists, designers and costume historians. Plates line up standing figures in rows against blank ground, some in outline, some hand-coloured, showing Celtic and Roman armour, Byzantine court robes and medieval tunics with their patterned borders.
