Geschichte des Kostüms
A multi-volume history of European dress by German art historian Adolf Rosenberg, continued by Eduard Heyck, issued by Weyhe in New York in 1905 for costume scholars, designers and theatre workers. Plates line up standing figures in rows against bare or lightly sketched grounds, some in flat hand colour with gold-patterned brocades, others in plain outline: usable silhouettes, hats, armour and pattern fills.
